Position Overview:
A catering coordinator is a brand ambassador who is tenacious in developing relationships that lead to sales growth
They display ownership of the operational excellence and stewardship components of the role
They are servant leaders, who have great working relationships and are teachable
Job Expectations:
Preferred that candidate meet full time availability status, open to part time availability needs
Candidate must be available on Saturdays
Candidate must be flexible to meet the demands of the role during high volume seasons
Candidates will report to the Restaurant Marketing Director
Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position which includes, but is not limited to, standing for up to 9 hours and lifting up to 50lbs.
Must have a valid New Jersey license and ability to drive the CFAF catering van Must be able to demonstrate strong knowledge of brand and menu items Must be proficient in google workspace and other online management tools Must be able to complete Own My Path Growth Plan within the stated time frames Own My Path Growth Track: Own My Path is a Team Member owned, Leadership supported training program.
In order to grow within our organization Team Members must complete certain requirements on this path and may choose to take additional training checklists to progress further into leadership tracks.
For the Catering Coordinator position, items 1-3 must be completed within the designated time frames.
Failure to complete these requirements will result in removal from the position.
Required Development Complete Initial training and Pass FOH Team Member Certification (2 certification attempts) Complete Catering Coordinator Training Checklist (30 days) Complete FOH Rising Team Member Checklist w/in 90 days of receiving checklist.
Additional Development Complete Heart of House (HOH) Team Member Certification Complete HOH Rising Team Member Checklist Complete Advanced Team Member Checklist (Optional): Complete at your own pace $.
50 pay increase upon completion.
Item 6 is an optional incentive based checklist but would be required if a Team Member wishes to pursue other leadership opportunities.
Key Responsibilities: Drive Sustainable Catering Growth Be a brand ambassador and actively seek catering business leads through relationship management and community connections Identify and capitalize on product resale opportunities Be a key player in the planning for sustainable catering growth Cultivate Catering Guest Relationships Be a relationship manager by overseeing target markets of catering guests Act in a professional and friendly manner that is consistent with CFAF vision and values, leveraging the HEARD model as necessary Own the administrative aspects of catering including: Confirm orders and provide follow up surveys on guest experience.
Update catering databases Input orders from guests using the Catering Management Tool (CMT) or Point of Sale (POS) Make necessary decisions to honor our commitment to our guests Catering Operational Excellence Work with the operational teams to ensure fulfillment of everyday catering order with operational excellence.
Responsibilities include: Ensure all food and paper goods needed are ‘guest ready’ Ensure delivery coverage for all orders Ensure drivers and team members provide REMARKable catering experience for all catering guests Ensure order accuracy, on-time pickups/deliveries and payment methods Execute and uphold all food safety standards Work closely with the operational team to ensure processes and people are able to meet capacity for peak catering days.
Develop team members that facilitate aspects of the catering business to uphold standards to deliver REMARKable catering experiences Create and maintain any systems or processes to improve our catering service Stewardship of Catering Resources Ensure proper care and cleanliness of the catering van, including gas, interior/exterior cleanliness, etc.
Ensure proper care and cleanliness for equipment, including TMS bags, carts, etc.
Ensure proper care, cleanliness and organization of the catering area.
Coordinate with maintenance team to ensure regular maintenance on catering van is upheld Keep inventory of catering supplies and communicate needs Support operational teams in the restaurant: 75% of time will be arranged to support operational shifts with 25% of time arranged for catering leadership.
This arrangement depends on availability status and other business needs.
