As it expands and integrates its portfolio with recent and exciting new acquisitions, there is an opportunity for a science-driven, dynamic and ambitious individual to aid in leading our reverse translational efforts in multiple myeloma within our Hematology Translational Medicine Department at our site in Summit, New Jersey.
Translational Medicine is part of the Global Research and Early Development organization in BMS and leads mid- to late-stage clinical, pharmacological, and translational research and development activities for the BMS hematology pipeline.
The Translational Medicine team supports the late-stage portfolio for regulatory, translational development and life cycle management.
Translational Medicine Hematology at BMS has a long-standing history of scientific rigor as evidenced by our peer-reviewed publications, delivery of drug approvals including Revlimid, Pomalyst, Idhifa, Inrebic, Onureg and Reblozyl, strong academic collaborations and talent development.
Our areas of focus include but are not limited to multiple myeloma, acute myeloid leukemia/MDS, lymphoma and erythroid disorders.
This group integrates scientific learnings from the lab and clinic as well as business insights of multiple functions and leads the development of translational strategies at the franchise level.
Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Executive Assistant, supporting the Translational Medicine (TM) Function.
The position provides comprehensive administrative support to the Vice President of TM, and Summit Research Site Head located in Summit, NJ.
The successful candidate must be detail oriented, have strong organizational and coordination skills, and excellent communication skills.
They will have demonstrated ability to prioritize, work independently, and be able to learn new tools and systems in an ever-evolving environment.
The successful candidate will be highly collaborative and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to): Perform highly diverse and complex administrative functions, including but not limited to proactive calendar management, travel arrangements, ensuring executive manager’s meeting preparedness (e.
g.
, assemble meeting materials & pre-reads) & preparing expense reports Attend Leadership Team meetings and solicit agenda items, note action items, and upload meeting notes/updates to SharePoint site.
Support Vice President of TM who is also Summit Research Site Head through supporting site specific operations including updating site budget, participate in planning subteams, scheduling and advertising internal events for guest visitors, function-Wide Town Halls, and department level event planning, scientific seminars, poster sessions etc.
Organize meetings and events including scheduling, coordinating room schedules, AV assistance and catering Provide coordination with other groups, CROs, vendors, equipment, maintenance, service contracts, collaborators etc Create purchase orders and assist in reconciling open purchase requisitions Serve as a key point of contact to help resolve payment/invoicing/ordering issues for senior staff members.
Support various projects as needed for team leads & external collaborations including basic project management.
Support on site interview candidates by coordinating seminars and scheduling Welcome new hires to the team, order office equipment and secure desk/office space, send out new hire announcements.
On-site attendance minimum 3 days a week Qualifications: High School degree, some college, or degree desirable.
Minimum of 6-8 years of executive level administrative or comparable experience in a scientific research environment.
Pharmaceutical, biotech start-ups, and venture capital companies preferred.
Highly proficient with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Knowledge of the following applications is highly preferred: Concur, Ariba/SAP, SharePoint, Room Scheduler, Microsoft Teams.
