JOB DESCRIPTION: FINANCE OFFICER
POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Operations will manage the grant’s programmatic reporting elements including statistical tracking, narrative reports, and monitoring levels of service.
This position will play a key role in ensuring compliance with the agency’s grants, communicating with funders, and the financial administration of the agency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Grant Management
* Coordinate with staff to ensure proper data collection and documentation according to grant requirements.
* Lead the monthly/quarterly grant reporting and renewal process, working with the Executive Director and upper management to draft and submit all reports.
* Serve as primary liaison between the organization and funding agency key points of contact.
* Prepare reports to be presented to the Board of Trustees on grant performance.
Financial Administration
* Assist in financial monitoring and ensure all funds are spent according to restrictions.
* Prepare timely financial reports in collaboration with the financial consultant.
* Collaborate with the Executive Director and financial consultant on staff and cost allocations across all grants.
Administration and Operations
* Develop, support, and monitor systems of operations and administration.
* Coordinate compliance-related processes and documentation.
* Oversee duties and responsibilities of Office Manager and Bookkeeper.
* Ensure compliance with salary grant restrictions and monitor processing of payroll and other spending.
* Review and address issues with software, technology, and file sharing; communicate with IT consultant in collaboration with other staff.
SKILLS REQUIRED
* Working knowledge of domestic violence and sexual violence organization logistics, specifically direct services as it pertains to the grants' programmatic requirements.
* Strong verbal/written communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Familiarity with client management databases and software (Osnium preferred)
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
* Working knowledge of video conferencing software (ie.
Zoom, Google Meet, Doxy.
me, etc.
).
QUALIFICATIONS
* Master’s Degree (Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Work, Public Policy, or related field) or equivalent experience.
* 3+ years in grant writing, grant management, or nonprofit financial administration.
* Knowledge of financial and administrative tools and software.
* Preferred governmental grant trainings including DCF, OAG, OVW, OVC & DOJ.
* Strong working knowledge of the dynamics of domestic violence and sexual assault.
* Completion of agency 80-hour domestic violence & sexual assault training in the first 90 days of employment, or certificate of completion from another agency.
* Clear a criminal history background check.
