Develops, trains, monitors, and implements individualized and program-specific behavior plans and behavioral support systems.
Collects, records, and summarizes data for completion of monthly progress reviews by performing the following duties.
Develops, implements, and monitors the execution of state and RHA policies and procedures related to behavioral support services.
Master required board-certified behavior analyst required.
Pay: $80,000-$90,000 Requirements Masters Degree required Board-certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) required 1+ years of experience working with the population preferred CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS BCBA A valid driver's license is required.
Job Responsibilities Communicates with members of the Circle of Support in the development or amendment of each Individual Support Plan for each person supported as appropriate.
Works closely with Direct Support staff and other clinical/professional staff to maintain communication and provide feedback, standardize procedures, expedite behavioral assessments, recommendations and plan implementation to improve effectiveness of services.
Provides individual and group in-service training for current and new staff concerning new behavior support plans and plan changes, and any other topics as deemed appropriate.
Participates in the intake and admission process of anyone referred for behavior respite services; complete assessment of the person supported who is admitted for behavior respite services; provide training and technical assistance as a component of the discharge process to ensure an understanding of the recommendations for the person’s successful return to the provider of origin; ensure compliance with state and federal regulations specific to this service; work closely with the Clinical and Management Teams in the provision of behavior respite services.
Attends and participates in Human Rights Committee and Behavior Program Review Committee meetings; also, develops agendas and notes for meetings and completes minutes.
Develops and authors behavior support plans and systems consistent with state regulations and RHA policies.
With assistance of the Program Manager, seeks and obtains consents for behavior plans from appropriate professional staff, human rights committee, legal representatives, Administrators and Quality Assurance.
Completes functional analysis through observation and interview to determine the probable causes and maintaining factors involved in a maladaptive behavior.
Participates in the development, implementation, and monitoring of federal and state regulations and RHA Policies and Procedures related to behavior supports.
Participates in state and regional meetings regarding behavioral policy/procedure development, implementation, and oversight.
Practices universal medical precautions by understanding and utilizing personal protective and safety equipment.
Spends adequate amount of time monitoring and providing feedback to staff in interactions and relationships with people supported.
Counsels and assists people supported in developing and maintaining important relationships with peers, friends and family members.
Observes and models appropriate behavior skills in homes, schools, workplace, and vocational/administrative units.
