The Staff Accountant/Analyst will be a critical part of the Anywhere Advisors accounting team and ensure the accounting department’s overriding goals of accuracy and providing timely, relevant information are achieved.
This individual will be a proactive member of the accounting team and will look to help drive operational efficiencies while maintaining a strong control environment.
The position will collaborate across several groups of the business to support both short and long-term business objectives and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for financial close activities including month-end journal entries and recording accruals as appropriate
Coordinate with various departments/stakeholders to obtain the necessary support required to book journal entries timely
Ensure accounting and finance activities are compliant with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal policies and procedures
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and analysis to share with stakeholders for key accounts
Proactively raise issues to supervisor regarding financial or operational metrics
Partner with supervisor(s) in driving efficiencies through simplification/automation, expense management, and maintaining monthly/quarterly reports.
Respond to a variety of ad hoc projects as they arise

Qualifications:
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or related field
Strong understanding of GAAP accounting & reporting
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and abstract reasoning skills
2+ years of accounting/finance experience
Public or Internal Audit experience a plus
CPA or CPA candidate a plus
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with advanced Excel skills
Power BI, Power Query, and Macro/VBA skills a plus
Ability to multi-task and work independently with limited supervision
Possess strong task management, attention to detail and prioritization skills
Ability to follow through on all assigned tasks and take on additional work as needed

Compensation Range:
$61,500 - $80,000; At Anywhere, actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, and qualifications.
