SUMMARY: The Financial Analyst will analyze past financial performance to identify trends and assess risks, predict future performance and to advise the company on its financial strategy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform general accounts (Balance Sheet and P&L) analysis monthly in accordance with yearly audit requirements.
Including comparisons to forecasted results and trended results.
Perform and analyze general account reconciliations including bank statements, fixed assets, accruals, and prepaid expenses.
Conduct detailed analysis of company expenses, identifying opportunities for cost control and optimization while maintaining service quality.
Review general ledger expense coding i.
e.
, for sales/use tax compliance.
Review receipts and compare with actual charges to detect inaccuracies.
Analyzes and evaluates corporate cost allocations.
Work with the Director of Finance to develop financial forecasting models and analytics to forecast profitability with a high degree of accuracy.
Analyze historical revenue and expense trends to understand profitability.
Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: n/a QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree preferred with a major in finance, economics, or statistics.
Proven experience working as a financial analyst.
Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.
Computer skills required: Familiarity with Deltek, CostPoint Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Power Point, especially Excel).
Other skills required: Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management are a must.
Ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
