I.
POSITION OBJECTIVE (State the purpose of this job and reason for existence) This position is to report to Accounting Manager.
The objective of this position is to handles normal operation and routine accounting functions and reports of assigned companies, which include the P&L analysis of the product and the resolution of the abnormality handling.
The job description serves to equip the Accountant with professional accounting knowledge and skill necessary for achieving the position objective.
Responsible to reconcile the responsible accounts for satisfying the IFRS princple.
Assist with implementing and maintain inventory control; internal control and internal/external auditing practice and procedures.
II.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY (Describe major functions of this job) 1.
Perform timely and accurately month end closing that includes preparation and analysis of financial/cost/profit/management reports, also closing schedule follow up.
2.
Effectively and efficiently coordinate and follow company's policy/procedure to perform accounting daily routine functions.
3.
Assist in ensuring that all accounting policies and procedures and financial transactions are executed according to IFRS.
4.
Provide accurate Government census report in timely basis.
5.
Perform Incentive review and provide accurate calculation in timely basis.
6.
Prepare and control annual budget, goal and assist goal review presentation.
7.
Monitor various prepaid and accrued expense accounts, and complete monthly account reconciliations.
8.
Assist with timely preparation of annual audit schedules as required and perform fluctuation analysis on various balance sheet and income statement accounts as required for purposes of annual audits.
9.
Assist Corporate Controller in special projects and assignments III.
QUALIFICATIONS A.
TECHNICAL JOB CRITERIA (Minimal Technical Requirements) 1.
Previous Related Experience Required Prefer 1 year experience in Accounting related area.
2.
Technical Skills Required To Perform This Job 1.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
2.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
3.
Excellent communications skills both orally and written.
4.
Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS regulation.
5.
Ability to operate office equipments as needed.
6.
Familiar with internet search engine.
3.
Education (Minimal Education Needed) B S degree in Accounting is preferred, or equivalent w/min.
18 accounting credits in Financial, Marketing, Business Management area.
4.
Other Certification/Training Required To Gain Function-Related Technical Knowledge Continued learning in Accounting to stay up-to-date on all IFRS and GAAP processes and regulation.
5.
Other Requirements (Physical/Mental Demand, Schedule/Hours, Travel) 1.
Need full day work and occasional overtime 2.
Need occasional travel away from home for training, meeting or other assigned tasks.
3.
Need be able to file and storage document.
4.
Need repetitive motions related to key-in when required.
5.

After 3-month on hand training, this individual is able to understand the month end closing procedure and tasks.
2.
After 6-month on hand training, this individual is able to perform the month end closing independently.
3.
After 3-month on hand training, this individual is able to understand Formosa's cost accounting systems, including account codes, cost centers, CTA1, CTA2 and profit reports.
4.
After 6-month on hand training, this individual is able to analyze Formosa's major cost accounting reports, CTA1, CTA2 and profit reports.
5.
This individual must know the essence of the auditing and be able to provide the document requetsed by external auditors.
6.
This individual must be able to study GAAP, IFRS and provide his/her input when he/she is assigned to conduct the research for the requested accounting issues.
7.
This individual must be able to communicate properly with colleagues in both accounting and other departments to obtain the necessary information for his/her jobs
