Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Business Manager III for the Division of Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement (DICE) and the University Equity and Inclusion (UEI) Office.
Among the key duties of this position are the following: Supports annual budget planning to achieve unit priorities and is responsible for day-to-day budget management of the Division of Diversity, Inclusion and Community Engagement and the University Equity and Inclusion (UEI) Office ensuring smooth internal operations.
Responsible for interfacing with the Central Business Office to manage the budget for UEI and the NB-Chancellor’s Business office to manage the budget for the DICE, including related grants that are housed in the respective areas.
Resolves a diverse range of problems consistent with an understanding of mission, vision, role, and goals of the units and consistent with a comprehensive understanding of accounting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), applicable regulations, and university policies and procedures.
Works closely with the Director of Administration and Planning to support the effective business and administrative management of UEI and DICE in achievement of unit objectives by ensuring smooth business operations, logistical efficacy, consistency, and integrity of business processes.
Provides a variety of business services such as budget, accounting, grant administration, and finance.
Analyzes and reviews financial data.
Prepares financial statements and reports for both internal and external purposes.
Position Status Full Time Hours Per Week Daily Work Shift Work Arrangement Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.

Seniority Unit Terms of Appointment Staff - 12 month Position Pension Eligibility ABP Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and understanding of general accounting principles and practices.
