The Global Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will serve as a key member of the Corporate Finance team and report to the Senior Vice President of Corporate Finance.
By way of first-class budgeting and forecasting, management reporting, diligent analyses, and strategic modeling, the Financial Planning & Analysis team plays a key role in partnering across Zoetis and informing executive leadership inclusive of CEO and CFO of actual and projected performance.
This role will also analyze business trends, changes, and new initiatives in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment.
The Global Head of FP&A is empowered to drive ongoing organizational improvements, effective strategic & budgetary planning processes, forecasting, robust metrics, and key insights.
This leader has entrepreneurial drive, strong leadership skills and exceptional analytical capability.
One must communicate complex issues to wide audiences, be an effective leader of teams and possess proven ability to partner across a large multi-national organization.
Key Responsibilities Strategy, Vision and Leadership Advise Executive Leaders and other key members of senior management on financial planning, cash flow, investment priorities, external reporting, and financial policy matters.
Bring a passion for the future of FP&A and collaborate across the finance organization to build a center of excellence that will leverage technology such as AI to drive process efficiency and first-class analytics.
Maintain continuous lines of communication across the business, that allows for Global Head of FP&A to be the “eyes and ears” across the organization to provide updates on financial performance inclusive of risks and opportunities to Senior Vice President of Corporate Finance and Chief Financial Officer Collaborate with Investor Relations (IR) to drive open communication on performance versus investor expectations and analyze opportunities for improving total company performance based on IR teams outside-in perspective.
Team Development/Leadership Oversee, direct, and organize the work of the FP&A team.
Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement with focus and commitment on Zoetis Core Beliefs.
Ensure staff members receive timely and appropriate development.
Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, and provide frequent and timely feedback.
Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach: assign accountabilities; set objectives; establish priorities; and monitor and evaluate results.
Operations Significantly improve and elevate the planning and forecasting process leveraging advanced tools and analytics to support a more dynamic planning process.
Actively participate in the Zoetis earnings process, including development of relevant Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) content in SEC filings Further close working relationships are required with key Finance Leaders such as Manufacturing Finance, International & US Commercial Finance, Tax, Corporate Controllers, Treasury and Strategic Initiatives Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance MBA or equivalent master’s degree a plus Experience: Must be able to engage in the development of enterprise strategies and operational execution.
Demonstrated experience in leading significant change and in continuous process improvement.
Experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to partner, lead and influence others without having a direct reporting relationship.
Demonstrated proficiency setting a strategic vision for the overall team and leading the organization in successfully achieving these goals.
Experience in managing a diverse team.
15 years plus of experience in a finance function within a large multi-national company.
Strong knowledge of accounting and financial systems/processes, controls, and ability to translate strategies into financial concepts.
Demonstrated proficiency in US GAAP Knowledge of Anaplan, HFM, Essbase, SAP Experience with S4/Hana and transition from SAP ECC is a plus.
Able to clearly communicate complex financial and process-related information to key stakeholders (including executive level).
Communications skills include the ability to listen to and appreciate stakeholder concerns and understand issues.
Demonstrated success and commitment to the ongoing development of talent including active coaching and mentoring of key colleagues.
Good evaluator for talent and demonstrated success in building high performing teams and ensuring succession/continuity.
Ability to take a complex set of variables across markets with different dynamics and influence the key value drivers with greatest impact.
Ability to act decisively and seize accountability within areas of responsibility.
Excellent quantitative, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Strong business acumen.
